Pain Management

Our pain management specialists are trained in evaluating, diagnosing and treating chronic pain. The procedures offered at OSC are minimally-invasive and designed to target the source of pain. Many times, doctors will recommend physical therapy, medication, and other forms of rehabilitation in conjunction with pain management procedures.

Some of the conditions treated by pain management procedures include:

• Herniated discs
• Torn ligaments or tendons
• Nerve pain
• Damaged cartilage
• Arthritis
• Stenosis
• Spasms
• Hairline fractures

Pain management injections are applied directly to the source of inflammation. For example, a spinal epidural injection targets an area of the spine that surrounds the spinal cord, nerves, and bone. When this area is inflamed, and the inflammation causes pain, steroids may be injected to reduce swelling. Injections can also be used to relax muscles (trigger point injections; Botox), and numb pain-causing nerves (nerve blocks; facet joint injections).

Some of the pain management procedures at OSC include:

• Epidural Steroid Injections
• Facet Joint Injections
• Trigger Point Injections (TPI)
• Radiofrequency Ablation
• Nerve Blocks
• Botox Injections
